History and Literature

The paintings in this catalogue were created by the children of Murmansk Art College. These children’s paintings from both Nikkel and Murmansk Art Colleges for Children were used to illustrate this book of Russian folktales in Norwegian. The folktales in Russian, and their English translations, are included in the catalogue as an appendix. Natasha Harkness is responsible for the translations (with the exception of the Pushkin tales).

The paintings in this catalogue have been exhibited both in Russia and abroad. They are composition studies based upon Russian Folk Tales.
